Kiellan Rook (she/her) was called to the Bar in the summer of 2026.
Prior to joining Furgiuele Law, Kiellan articled at a prominent criminal defence firm in Toronto. There, she was encouraged in her creative approach to problem solving. Kiellan most enjoyed supporting counsel in preparing an application to the incoming Miscarriage of Justice Review Commission.
Kiellan obtained her law degree from the University of Victoria. Throughout law school, Kiellan was employed as a regional educator for British Columbia Schizophrenia Society. Her advocacy is deeply influenced by this work and community.
Kiellan also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto where she graduated with high distinction, majoring in “Ethics, Society, and Law” and Criminology. It was there that she first became passionate about the rights of incarcerated people, drug-users, and people living with HIV/AIDS. It was a desire to advocate for these rights that led her to pursue a career in criminal defence.
